Casa Museo Maestro Pedro Nel Gómez is a cultural site in Medellin, Colombia, established by Master Pedro Nel Gómez and his family on November 15, 1975. Casa Museo Pedro Nel Gómez was restored in order to conserve the house, its artistic heritage, and bibliography so that it could become part of the cultural and artistic heritage of Medellin and Colombia.

Casa Museo Pedro Nel Gómez features mural decorations, or frescos, measuring 160 square meters in area, which represent the preliminary “cartoons” for the almost 2,200 square meter frescos that grace the walls of several different public areas and buildings all over Medellin and Colombia.

Casa Museo Pedro Nel Gómez contains almost 3,000 pieces of art, including drawings, watercolors, oil paintings, pastels, sculptures and architectural projects. The Casa Museo Pedro Nel Gómez library, called Giuliana Scalaberni, contains almost 2,000 books and more than 5,000 documents pertaining to the life and works of Pedro Nel Gomez.

For the general public, visitors, students, artists and researchers, Casa Museo Pedro Nel Gomez offers library services, guided tours, informal education programs and continuing education. Furthermore, Casa Museo Pedro Nel Gomez offers specialized Marquetry (the craft of covering a structural timba with pieces of veneer forming decorative patterns, designs or pictures) services, including conservation, restoration and disinfection of the artwork. Casa Museo Pedro Nel Gomez also issues certification and valuation of original works of Maestro Pedro Nel Gómez.
